Museum Storage Solutions
During my flight to Houston for this year’s 105th Annual Meeting and MuseumExpo™, reading up on the event, I was intrigued by this year’s meeting theme: The Museum of Tomorrow. As a leading innovative vendor offering multiple storage solutions, I was thinking about how this theme related to the museum collection care, about proper storage for museum collections. With the world’s largest gathering of museum professionals, who from the more than 5,000 attendees from some 55 countries would have answers to my specific questions of tomorrow? The Art of Storage, who would be able to share opinions and ideas that would allow me to enhance my industry knowledge on this subject? Who would offer insights and advice that could foster my reflexion on the collection care in a safe and secure manner for tomorrow’s museums?
Museum Storage Systems
Since 1906, the mission of “The American Association of Museums” is to contribute at developing standards and best practices, gathering and sharing knowledge on issues of concern to the entire museum community. Hosting an annual event, AAM’s Annual Meeting & MuseumExpo™ will be held from May 22 to May 25, at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. This year’s theme “the Museum of Tomorrow” imposes a reflection into the challenges that museums are facing and will be facing in the near future.
