Montel, a pioneer of high-density mobile storage shelving system solutions, is proud to announce that it’s sponsored ice canoe team won this past Sunday the 51st edition of the Robitussin Canoe Race in the participation category at this year’s Quebec City Winter Carnival.
With 45 teams competing and struggling with the powerful current, great chucks of ice and numbing water, this legendary competition has been held since the first edition of the Carnival in which courageous teams confront one another along the St. Lawrence River between Quebec City and Levis.
Participating for a second consecutive year in this popular gruelling winter canoe race, Montel’s Technical Supervisor, Mr. Patrick Caron, was extremely pleased with the results of the race. “Considering the fact that our team has only been competing since 2 years in this popular event, we are very proud to finish in first position of our category.” “With this victory, our team members are highly motivated to continue with our training program for our upcoming scheduled races. We have already started thinking about the 52nd edition of the Robitussin Canoe Race, and we will be participating in the competition category”, mentioned Patrick Caron.
The Quebec Carnival is the largest winter carnival in the world today, and is third on the Top list of Carnivals, following the famous carnivals in Rio and New Orleans.
