SUB-RAIL & rail
Aluminum Sub-Rail
Corrosion-Resistant Aluminum Sub-Rail:

Acts as barrier between the concrete and the hardened steel rail;
Prevents rust in a corrosive concrete environment.
built-in anti-tip
Built-in Anti-Tip into Aluminum Sub-Rail:

Provides stability;
Provides safety for systems with a high height-to-width ratio;
Built-in anti-tip meeting the most severe seismic regulations;
Meets UBC requirements.

  Note:

  Anti-Tip Sub-Rail Dimensions: Width: 5.47 inches (139 mm) Height: 1 inch  (25.4 mm)

Two Anti-Slip Grooves:

Prevents sub-rail to slip when pouring concrete topping;
Grout infiltrates under the sub-rail and inside the grooves thus preventing lateral movement.

Two-Piece Spliceless Track:

Sub-rail continuously supports the top hardened steel rail at the junction point;
Restricts both vertical and horizontal movement;
Ensures a smooth weight transfer from one track section to the other;
Provides greater structural rigidity;
Ensures that all rail connection joints provide horizontal and vertical continuity between rail sections;
Prevents any vertical difference between two adjoining rails compared to one-piece rail with a tongue-and-groove joint;
Eliminates track deflection;
Provides a quiet operating system;
Permits easy and instant removal/replacement of the top hardened steel rail compared to a one-piece rail construction.

  Notes:

1 Sub-Rail Dimensions: Width: 3.25 inches (82.55 mm) Height: 1 inch (25.4 mm)
2 Rail Dimensions : Width: 1 inch (25.4 mm) Height: 0.75 inch (19.05 mm)

Rail joints staggered with sub-rail joints, and parallel rails staggered with sub-rail joints:

Prevent the adjoining rail splice to be at the same location;
Prevent the wheels of a same carriage to cross a rail splice joint at the same time;
Ensure a better weight load distribution from one parallel rail to the other;
Eliminate any rail deflection.

  Note:

  Sub-Rails are supplied in sections of 144 inches (365.76 cm) and rails are supplied in sections of 121.42 inches (308.4 cm).

Interlock Steel Rail Connector:

Eliminates rail separation;
Ensures a gradual transfer of the concentrated wheel point load to and from adjoining rail sections;
Provides horizontal and vertical continuity between rail sections.

Narrow 3/8-inch (9.5 mm) Wheel Guidance Channels between Sub-Rail/Rail Sections:

Reduce tripping hazards;
Prevent dust or paper clip accumulation;
Reduce debris accumulation and makes cleaning easier;
Carts easily roll over floor and aluminum sub-rail/rail sections.

Fully-Grouted Aluminum Sub-Rail:

Fully supported to evenly distribute the weight on the existing slab;
No shims needed.

  Optional Temporary Cover for Concrete Recessed Rails:

Prevents concrete infiltration into the rail channel openings when pouring cement;
Protects rails until carriage installation.
