Montel, a pioneer of high-density mobile storage shelving system solutions for office, institutional and industrial applications, is pleased to announce that 2009 marks the 85th anniversary of the company. “I am honored to celebrate this anniversary,” said Michel Doucet, President and CEO of Montel. “As we celebrate our 85th anniversary, I want to thank our many customers, dealers and suppliers who have helped make Montel successful over the long term”. “Most importantly, the dedication and creativity of our people, who embrace our corporate culture.”

From the manufacturing of bicycle stands to electrical flip-flop toasters in the 1930's, from its first involvement in cantilever library shelving applications in 1955 to the acquisition of the assets of Art Metal Inc. of New Jersey in 1986, Montel became fully devoted to high-density mobile storage systems.

As Montel now manufactures all of its mobile and stationary shelving units, filing systems, industrial mobile carriages, art racks, moveable pull-out storage panels, accessories and cabinets for multimedia storage, museum storage and much more, Montel’s offer is total.

Manufacturer of products for corporate, institutional, library, museum, public safety, government, healthcare, military, industrial and retail applications, Montel’s achievements include some of the most prestigious projects in North America and around the world.
