Floor Lock
The Floor Lock feature allows the end-user to lock the mobile units at a predetermined position to prevent unauthorized access to stored materials when the system is closed.
Safe, functional & reliable
The Floor Lock feature is an alternative to the motor with brake offered with our powered systems. Its durable metal handle with integrated key lock mechanism is used to lock mobiles manually in determined positions using a floor steel rod locking pin. Only a user in possession of the handle key can lock/unlock a mobile. Therefore, it is suggested to equip only the last mobile with a floor locking pin because it will block every other mobile in a closed system. For increased accuracy and sturdiness, the metal handle is equiped with a guiding sleeve made of steel tubing. To equip a system with the Floor Lock feature, the floor is drilled to allow the insertion of the locking pin, and covered with a steel plate to eliminate floor wear. This feature can be added to any of our MOBILEX® Mechanical-Assist Mobile Storage Systems, SafeAisle® Powered Mobile Storage Systems, as well as with any of our SmartSpace or SmartSpace Plus high density mobile storage systems.
