When the City of Winter Park approved a proposal to construct a new state-of-the-art Public Safety Building to home the Police and Fire Departments, city officials were concerned with space optimization and efficient storage solutions.
The Winter Park Police Department needed a storage system that would consolidate various personnel equipment and files, in addition to a designed area to safely store weapons and firearms.
After analyzing with the architect firm the Police Department’s space needs, a custom-designed storage solution was proposed for the new Public Safety Building that would assure a secure working efficiency environment.
The following Montel products were installed:
- Aetnastak® cantilever library shelving systems;
- QuadraVista 4-Post shelving system allowing easy installation and flexibility to store the wide variety of files and office supplies;
- Gun racks with carpet and foam to protect the weapons storage in a secured room;
- Custom-designed drawers to accommodate ammunition and media storage.working efficiency environment.
